Who We Are

Columbus is home to two million people and continues to grow every year. Many who are lost and broken. some are experiencing homelessness, poverty and are empty spiritually. Some are feeling forgotten and abandoned. It is our responsibility to go into our world. City of Love Columbus exists to demonstrate the love of God to our City. Some ways that we do that are volunteering and partnering with Outreach Ministries, churches, and Missions. Also by sharing resources and donations and giving freely in order to meet people’s needs. We want to follow Jesus’ example and meet people in the middle of their circumstances, as Jesus did.

Jesus paraphrased all of God’s law with 2 phrases: Love God and love people. He showed us how to do that by the way that he lived and ministered. Jesus had a 3 step approach to ministry, that we want to model. He would demonstrate His love, explain to his disciples and others, then invite people to follow.

Life was not intended to be done alone, and we are called to go into the world and make disciples. We believe that it is the goodness of God that leads people to relationship with Him (Romans 2:4). God is Love, and we exist to demonstrate what His love looks like (1 Corinthians 13) and to invite our city to join us in loving our neighbors as ourselves, explaining God's love and what Jesus did for us, and inviting everyone to join us in following Him to grow as disciples.
